Social Distancing: New York City Edition
On Sunday April 5, 2020 I drove into midtown Manhattan in order to document our current situation in the heart of the pandemic. April 5 was the first day masks were being mandated in many cities, and it was also a 70-degree, spring-like day. Central Park had quite a few people out walking and exercising, and social distancing but, for the most part, the city was silent. Not a soul on 5th Ave. No one in Rockefeller Center. A few people walking around and biking in Times Square. It was eerie to see the city like this, but it was also a testament to how seriously everyone is taking this outbreak.
